Before attending Chapman University's Film School, Nate's short film, Living Lives, won the Issaquah School District Film Festival in 2005 for Best Short Film. It now has over 470,000 views on YouTube and has been aired on multiple television stations from Seattle to Washington D.C.
Nate began as the assistant editor on S. Mohen's ambitious feature film, Happy Holidays. He moved on to edit the award-winning senior thesis film, Pepper Mountain. Last May, Nate won the Best Editor Cecil B. DeMille Award in the undergraduate devision.
Also in the spring, Nate was brought on to edit a location film called Precious Moments and two Advanced Production films called Mannequin and An Insignificance, which have also been very well received.
Over the summer, Nate interned at Bravo with NBC | Universal in Burbank. Since then, he has taken a job at the Orange County Register to be one of two head editors on The Juice (ocregister.com/juice).
Now, he is begining work on another Advanced Production film called The Bad Twin (premiering in December). In the spring, he is signed on to edit two more senior thesis films, presently untitled.
